In The Memory of Robert Elton Peterson Beloved Sweetheart,Dad & Grandpa

On July 6 we found out Rob,Devan's Dad had Colon Cancer which had spread to the liver we all were pretty devastated sense Rob was not one to get sick very often.. As we all had the overwhelming feeling of cancer we listen to Rob as he was so positive he always said he felt calm about everything and he new he would be alright he just wanted us to be OK....
They chose to start Kemo treatments on July 13 What a long day for them.. As a couple days went pass Rob wasn't feeling to bad as he would say but not knowing if he just didn't want us to worry about him. He was always the one to want to take care of everyone else. As time went by he proceed to go down heel not expecting the outcome. On Friday the 23 Rob woke up not doing the best, problems breathing they called the on call doctor as they told them to go to a Insta care. Where They stated that he had Bronchitis and a little bit of phenomena. They next 2 hours Rob proceed to get worse and asked Opal to take him to the Er that he couldn't breath.. He ended up in ICU with failing Kidneys and a bad infection in his lungs that had went to his Blood.. The Kemo had killed all of his Whited blood cells that would help fight off any infection that he might get.
We got the message that night while we were in Delta at 12 pm that he was in ICU. I don't think the car ride home was ever so quite between me and Devan. We woke early and headed right to the hospital in AF. Rob had gotten transfered early in the morning to Utah Valley Hospital ICU. Rob on force air which he hated so badly he had so much to tell everyone but couldn't.. We gotta be with him for a little while. As he had struggled to tell Devan that he loved him and to stay close to his MOM. Rob on Sunday at 6:45am he went to Code Blue his Blood Pressure went to 30/10 and Doctors were surrounding him.. They pretty much told us that he had no time if he were to stay then it would be on his. But Rob fought it out till his Sister Lana had arrived from Lander Wyoming. Rob passed away in peace on July 25 at 4:40 surrounded by his loved ones. The peace and calming that we all felt was unforgettable. WOW the love and support that we had From Devan family Aunts, Uncle and Cousins. What a nice comfort to have you all there. We love you all Thanks for everything you do ..
The Viewing was amazing it was one of the biggest one they have had in over 4 years What a tribute to him and To Opal And the service the next day.
